I've been talking to a lot of people that expect BU to move past Providence
into the semifinal; personally I think they'd have a better shot at getting
past a quarterfinal against BC, UNH or Maine.

Providence beat BU every game this year. I don't just mean the Friars won,
they flat-out beat the Terriers in each meeting. As has been pointed out,
it's the combination of the weakest PK in the nation combined with the best PP.

Laroque may be able to take them into Game 3 of the quarters, but he's
going to need help at the other end of the ice to take them any farther.
Allowing just 1 or 2 goals per game will usually win the game for your
team... assuming your offense can pour it on as well.

I think this is the biggest test and I'll rank it as the best
accomplishment for this team this season if they can move past Providence.
The beanpot victory was sweet indeed, and the first round was over BC --
and it seems that any BU team can beat anybody else in the beanpot when
they need to. There's no trouble getting the team motivated and focused for
the beanpot.

Getting them focused enough for games at Schneider, for 3 quarterfinal
games against the team that owned them this year, that's going to be tough.

Go BU
