RED ALERT: there will be a series of match reports on the Women's Canadian
Nationals following this summary of the final day. If it isn't your
thing: power up that DELETE KEY now!

Bonus coverage of the Scarborough - Mississauga Senior AAA, National
Women's Hockey League match will appear on my web site
(www.fas.harvard.edu/~hungerf) under the Match reports section soon.
There are some former and future college players on those teams, but it
was not a college game, so check my web site for that report.

The 5th place match was won by McGill 5-2 over the X-Women. It was easily
Xavier's best effort, but McGill produced a better attack today and won.

In the 3rd place, all-Ontario derby match, Toronto beat Laurier 1-0. UT
played much better on Sunday, but unless you like watching sticks get
measured, it was not a devastating contest.

Concordia repeated as Canadian Nationals Champion by defeating the Pandas
of Alberta 2-0. Not the game I had hoped from from those two great
attacking teams. Something there is about a final that produces tense
grinder hockey.

Overall - a fun tournament with some great hockey, almost all of it clean
and in some games, with Concordia and Alberta, lovely attacking style.
