Craig Cheslog finally got his account straightened out and is now
a new member of hockey-l! He will be taking over the Bowdoin updates
as he was the source of most of my information anyway.

To clear up the question on the Bowdoin/Hamilton score last Friday,
it was Bowdoin 4 at Hamilton 2

Bowdoin plays their arch-rival Colby College tonight for the second
and last time this year. This game used to always be scheduled as the
last game in the season because of the rivalry, but since the league
went to an interlocking schedule this year, old traditions are lost. :-(

BOWDOIN vs. COLBY (from Craig -- of course)
NOTES

BOWDOIN BY THE NUMBERS:
Defenseman and co-captain Peter Kravchuk '92 has appeared in 91 consecutive
games for Bowdoin, every game since he arrived...Steve Kashian '92 is now
tied for 14th place (with Chris Simon '84) on the all-time scoring list with
111 points. He is 10th all-time with 72 career assists...Goaltender Darren
Hersh '93 is second in the ECAC goalie statistics with a 2.83 GAA in leagie
play and a 5-1-0 record...Marcello Gentile '95 has scored 10 goals in his
last nine games...The "freshman line" of Gentile and the Gaffney twins (Charlie
and Joe) is averaging six points a game over their last five games

CURRENT RECORDS
Colby is coming off a weekend road sweep of Hamilton and Williams, which
improved their record to 7-6 overall, 5-6 in ECAC East/West play. Bowdoin
split on the same road trip and is 8-5 overall, 7-4 in league play, good for
fifth place in the league standings

THE SERIES
Bowdoin in ahead in the series 76-69-6. The White Mules defeated Bowdoin
4-1 in Waterville in December, snapping a 17 game winless streak (0-13-4)
against the Polar Bears dating back to the 1982-83 season.

RECORD OF FUTILITY:
Colby has not won in Dayton Arena since a 4-0 blanking of the Polar Bears
on March 1, 1968. Since then, Colby is 0-23-4 in 27 games here. That game
was also the last time the Polar Bears were shutout at home.

INJURY REPORT -- SOME NEW FACES:
Bowdoin regulars Brian Clifford (who has missed 5 games with an ankle injury)
Mark MacLean (groin) and Tim O'Sullivan will sit out tonight. Brian Crovo
will make his first appearance of the season and wear #13. Bobby Matthews
will replace O'Sullivan, in his only other game this season, Matthews did not
score a point.
