The point is that this isn't the realm of Impersonal Forces (tm), it's just
a handful of people and policies for which they are directly accountable.
The future of the sport is not predictable, most especially by those
purporting to be experts.  However, it *is* accessible to influence.  I do
my infinitesimal part by putting a positive voice out there.  The more
people who do the same, the more we'll speak from our "naive" desires rather
than our "informed" defeatism.
