We were having a discussion a while back after my son's
practice and we were trying to remember when the WCHA
stopped playing a 2 game total goals series for the
championship.  I can remember this being the case in the
late 70's.
 
Also, when did the CCHA get the "play in" game against
the WCHA runner up?
 
Now for a really obscure one.  When did St. Louis U. drop
hockey?  Was it around 1980 or so and didn't Ron Francis
(Penguins) play there?
