Clarkson 4 Cornell 1

Cornell came out looking flat in the first, possibly because
of last night's big win over SLU. Game time was 4:00 because
of a Cornell hoops game, and everybody (including fans) had less
time to rest.

Clarkson is playing defense-oriented hockey, much like Cornell,
but they are doing it better. The Clarkson offense also counter-
attacks very well, and went up 2-0 in the first.

In the second Clarkson continued to outskate Cornell, standing the
Cornell dump-and-chase up at the blue line, turning it into
dump-and-watch. CLarkson scored again in the second making it 3-0.

The Cornell power play was disorganized, and Clarkson penalty killing
was very solid. Rogles played well, but was never really tested.
Duffus made another good showing for Cornell, and was visibly
disappointed at Cornell's ability to score.

Clarkson scored again in the third to go 4-0. With five minutes
remaining Hannah broke down the wing 1 on 2 and pulled up inside
the circle, putting a wrist shot behind Rogles for Cornell's
only goal.

Clarkson looks as strong as people say they are, giving up
few if any second chances, and moving the puck well at both
ends of the ice. Belanger and Dubinsky look especially
dangerous. I can't remember who scored all the Clarkson
goals, (except Belanger had at least one) but I'll
leave that for some Clarkson fan to describe.
