I just talked to a friend at UND, and he said that no one knows for sure Jace
Reed's status, but many fans believe he won't be able to play hockey again.
Reed had a kidney and double liver transplant (the first liver transplant
failed).  Apparently, when the Souix play the UMD Bulldogs, a group of Souix
fans and Bulldog fans (who are from Cloquet) sit together for the games.  After
their most recent series, the UMD fans presented a $ 1,000 check to the Reed
family for medical expenses.
