Three close to home (CCHA) former collegians were
called up to the NHL from the AHL yesterday.
 
The Boston Bruins brought back forward Cam Stewart
(Michigan) from Providence and the Buffalo Sabres
added a pair of All-Americans, defenseman Mark Astley
(Lake Superior) and goaltender Steve Shields (Michigan)
from Rochester.
