The Rule book states:  rule 4 section 4b:
 
    "a game misconduct penalty involves the suspension of a
     player, coach, manager, trainer, or any other team personell
     for the balance of the game; however a substitute is permitted
     to replace the player immediately.
 
     Note: This is not to be confused with the DQ penality plus a major
     Penalty. A player receiving a game misconduct penalty is suspended
     for the remainder of that game only.  The player is allowed to play
     in the team's next scheduled game."
 
Looks to me like he can play next week.
