I think it is set up so that the median of all who take it is about 800.
 
To put all this in perspective, a former North Carolina State basketball
player managed a 477 on the test in the mid-80's.
 
BTW, the person who referred to losing points for wrong answers was
talking about raw scores.  The 400 - 1600 scale has been normalized.
