>My wife brought home a JC Penney Catalog called just "Simply
>For Sports" - all their sports logo stuff. I was amazed to find that
>Penney's is selling (at $40 a piece, $35 for 2) Nutmeg Mills
>College Hockey Jerseys for the following teams: Michigan,
>Notre Dame, North Carolina, Miami (FLA), Duke and Florida State.
What we seem to have here is an attempt to cash in on Starter-type
athletic gear. Even though Michigan and Notre Dame HAVE NCAA
hockey teams, I doubt the merchandise mentioned in JCPenney is
replicated from their actual uniforms.
Over Christmas I saw---and I do not lie--- Public Enemy (done with
a Chicago Blackhawks color scheme) and Cypress Hill (LA Kings
scheme) hockey-style jerseys. There was also one for speed-
metalers Pantera, but I don't remember what it looked like. These
cost upwards of $55, but it was at Musicland at Brookdale (MN), so
no surprises there.

(can't think of anything butt-uglier than a green and orange
Miami Hurricane hockey sweater!)
