The example of RPI not being allowed to go to the Tournement in Alaska last season because it would put them over the ECAC limit by one game, but Yale was allowed to go over the Ivy limit (unanimously too).

That NESN contract has NO affect at all. No. :-) :-) :-) :-)
It's amazing what good can be accomplished when combined with greed! :-) :-)

Actually, that is a cheer BU used on NU in the Beanpot my freshman year of
college (88-89) when we were losing (we came back to win in OT). I thought it
was a GREAT cheer! I love it.

I have to agree. I am VERY excited about the prospect of my second favorite
college hockey team (after BU, of course) coming into Hockey East. I think it
would be GREAT for the league.

One side aspect that I am going to brag about occurred a while ago, before any
of this talk began to happen on Hockey-L. (I have three witnesses, Mike, Adam,
and Heather :-))

Last year, and then again early this year, after watching RPI, I stated that,
based on their style of play, RPI was a Hockey East team trapped in the ECAC.
I could not (and still can't) put my finger on it, but watching RPI is like
watching a Hockey East team. I'm not sure if I was being prophetic or
visionary :-) (yeah, what a load of bull there!) :-) I just really love the
idea of getting to see RPI play BU three times, and then watching RPI in the
Garden every year in the HE playoffs. (I cried when they took away the ECAC's)

I will state that it looks like RPI is just making sure they do it by the book.
I would speculate that it is probably a done deal. (essentially)

If it does happen (which it will!) let me be the FIRST one to welcome RPI to
Hockey East (where they belong, IMHO). Glad to have ya.

PS - order of favorite teams: BU, RPI, Vermont, Lowell, then Northeastern.

PPS - But, of course, I love ALL college hockey. The best game in the world,
even when people are being stupid in their BU-Maine flame-war.
