You may want to look at the standings in the NHL again, Brian.  The Ducks are
only 3 points behind San Jose in the Western Conference for the 8th playoff
spot with 20 games left to play.  While the #8 spot ain't the greatest, it
beats sitting home in mid-April crying in your beer.  Expect Anaheim (if they
haven't already) to try to sweeten the deal to get Kariya on the ice ASAFP.
(That doesn't mean he may not go back to Maine, but I am trying to indicate
that Anaheim should not be counted out in the Kariya sweepstakes.)
