I'm not sure if somebody else has posted this already (my E-mail's a bit
screwy today), but here it is:

WMEB Media Poll (from today's Lansing State Journal)

1. Boston University(8) 133
2. Michigan(6) 132
3. Harvard 119
4. Lake Superior State 96
5. Colorado College 85
6. Minnesota 68
7. Massachusetts-Lowell 40
8. Wisconsin 37
9. Western Michigan 24
10. Michigan State 22

                        Spartan Notes

1. MSU has received a verbal commitment from Tyler Harlton, 6-3 195, defenseman
from Pense, Sask. Harlton plays for the Vernon Lakers of the British
Columbia Junior League, where he has 9 goals and 19 assists. (If the
Lakers sound familiar [esp. to UM fans], they should. It's where David
Oliver played before coming to Ann Arbor.) Harlton picked MSU over Cornell
    and Colorado College.

2. How pissed off was Ron Mason after MSU's lackluster performance this week
(a 1-1 tie at Notre Dame on Thursday and a 6-4 loss at home to Ferris St.
on Friday)? Practice on Saturday was scheduled for 6 a.m. MSU needs wins
over Ferris St. on Thursday and Western Michigan on Friday to ensure a
    third-place finish in the CCHA.

G. M. Finniss
Michigan State University
WVU '87, UTenn '92, MSU who the hell knows when?

P. S. I never thought I'd be asking this, but to those of you in Minneapolis
and Bloomington, IN, could someone please tell me how the hell the
Minnesota Golden Gophers beat Indiana by FIFTY POINTS on Sunday? Is
this the same Gopher team that lost by SEVENTEEN to Michigan State
        last week?

P. P. S. Since the race in the WCHA is SOOOOOO tight, could someone out there
please list the potential tiebreakers (i.e. if CC and Minn. finish
tied in points, who gets first)? (Or, is that who's on first?)
