Last night while watching WLBZ's 11 o'clock new cast, WLBZ is northern maine's
nbc affiliate,  the sportscaster reported that Matt Martin, a former Black Bear
and present defenseman for Team USA had been recalled by the Toronto MapleLeafs
Earlier, Matt had received permission to play for Team USA when he failed to
make the the Leaf's roster and was going to be sent to the minors.  Appearently
one of Toronto's defensemen was hurt, and they recalled Matt to play.  I guess
that he could possibly go back to Team USA once the injured Leaf returns.  But
then again, maybe Toronto won't want him to leave......
