RASK CONTINUES TO SHINE... Devin Rask (Parkside, Saskatchewan) tallied
three points (two goals, one assist) in the Friars' victories over
Northeastern (4-3) and Merrimack (1-0).  This season, Rask is the Friars'
leading scorer with 15 goals and 20 assists.  Versus Northeastern,  Rask
registered the game's first goal and assisted on Regan Kelly's first
goal.  Versus Merrimack he broke a scoreless tie late in the third period
to lift PC to a 1-0 win.  This season, the Friars are 13-2-1 when Rask
tallies at least one point and are 2-5-3 in the games he has been held
pointless.

STRONG GOALTENDING... Boyd Ballard (Weyburn, Saksatchewan) and Nolan
Schaefer (Yellow Grass, Saskatchewan) stopped a combined 67 shots in a pair
of Friar victories.  On February 2, Ballard held-off a late Northeastern
rally and posted a career-high 43 saves in a 4-3 win at Matthews Arena.  On
February 3, Schaefer earned his third shutout of the season in a 1-0 win
over Merrimack.  Schaefer recorded 24 saves in the game.  Schaefer's third
shutout has tied him with Mario Proulx for the most shutouts by Providence
College player in a season.  For the two games, the duo combined to post a
1.50 goals against average and a .957 save percentage.

KELLY NETS MULTIPLE-GOALS...Defenseman Regan Kelly (Imperial,
Saskatchewan.) tallied two goals in the Friars' 4-3 win at Northeastern on
February 2.  It was Kelly's first career multiple-goal game.  This season,
Kelly has tallied three goals and 14 assists in 22 games for PC.

FRIARS SWEEP THE WEEKEND...The Friars' record stands at 15-7-4 overall and
9-5-2 in HOCKEY EAST play after a pair of wins over Northeastern (4-3) on
February 2 and Merrimack (1-0) on February 3.  On February 2, Boyd Ballard
(Weyburn, Saksatchewan) recorded a career high 43 saves and held off a late
Northeastern rally, earning his sixth win of the season.  Freshman Regan
Kelly (Imperial, Saskatchewan.) tallied two goals to led the Friars'
offense.  Devin Rask (Parkside, Saskatchewan) chipped in with one goal and
one assist while Peter Zingoni (Newtown, Conn.) tallied his second goal of
the season.  On February 3, Devin Rask tallied the game's only goal at the
17:50 mark of the third period to lift the Friars to a 1-0 victory.  Nolan
Schaefer (Yellow Grass, Saskatchewan) stopped 24 shots, earning his ninth
win of the season.  The squad's 1-0 win was only the third 1-0 win in the
history of Providence College Hockey.

SCHAEFER RECORDS THIRD SHUTOUT...On February 3, sophomore Nolan Schaefer
(Yellow Grass, Saskatchewan) recorded his third shutout of the
season.  Schaefer is now tied with Mario Proulx for the most shutouts by a
Providence goaltender in one season.  On October 28, Schaefer stopped 35
shots in an 8-0 win over Union.  On January 6, Schaefer shutout
UMass-Amherst, 4-0 and on February 3 he blanked Merrimack 1-0.  This
season,  Schaefer has posted a 9-5-1 record with a 1.89 goals against
average and a .936 save percentage.

TOP PK...On February 3, the Friars killed off all six man-down
situations.  It marked the 13th time this season that the Friars'
penalty-killing unit has been perfect.  On the season, the Friars are 137
of 154 (.890) in penalty-kill situations.  PC ranks first overall in HOCKEY
EAST in penalty-killing situations.

Next FOR the FRIARS... The Friars will host the Boston College Eagles on
February 9 and then travel to New Hampshire on February 10.

THE BOSTON COLLEGE/PROVIDENCE SERIES... Friday's game will be the 126th
meeting between the two schools.  Boston College leads the all-time series
80-38-7.  The two teams first met on December 1, 1953 with Boston College
defeating Providence, 8-5, at the Rhode Island Auditorium.  The Friars'
last win over the Eagles was a 4-3 victory on January 22, 2000.  PC's most
recent loss to the Eagles was a 4-2 defeat on January 20, 2001 at Schneider
Arena.

AT Schneider Arena... The Friars have posted an 18-17-4 record against BC
at Schneider Arena.  PC' last win against BC at Schneider Arena the Friars
defeated the Eagles, 4-3, on January 22, 2000.  PC's last loss to BC at
Schneider Arena was a 4-2 defeat on January 20, 2001.

THE Providence-NEW HAMPSHIRE ALL-TIME Series... Saturday's game will be the
106th meeting between the two schools.  Providence has recorded a 44-51-10
mark in the all-time series.  The two teams first met on February 12, 1927
with New Hampshire defeating the Friars, 5-1, at the Rhode Island
Auditorium.  The loss to the Wildcats was one of seven defeats the Friars
suffered in their first season of collegiate competition (1-7-0).  PC's
last win over UNH was a 3-1 victory on November 10, 2001 at Schneider
Arena.   The Friars' last loss to New Hampshire was a 4-1 defeat on
November 11, 2001 at the Whittemore Center.

NEW HAMPSHIRE vs. PC AT WHITTEMORE CENTER... PC holds a 1-7 record against
the Wildcats at Whittemore Center.  PC's only win at Whittemore Center was
a 5-4 victory on January 27, 1996.  The Friars' last loss to the Wildcats
at Whittemore Center was a 4-1 defeat on November 11, 2001.
