According to WHDH-TV7 out of Boston at 11 pm, Thursday's radiothon for the
Travis Roy Fund raised more than $500,000.  That is simply incredible.
 
I believe the story on the radiothon led all three of the major Boston tv
newscasts at 11 pm.  Lee Roy was shown hugging and thanking each of the
volunteers at BU who took phone pledges.  Many of the volunteers manned the
phones for over 12 hours.
 
Truly a remarkable story that has to reaffirm your faith in the human spirit.
 
In the short time I got to listen to the radiothon today, there was one
story that I liked and wanted to relate.  Apparently, when WHDH-850AM had
its huge card for people to sign outside the Patriots-Bills Monday night
game a couple of weeks ago, one person wrote, "Travis, you've got one goal
left in you."  I thought that was touching.
