Good afternoon, everyone.

Prince Memorial Library is offering a virtual presentation on Invasive
Plants: Pieces That Don't Fit in Maine's Ecological Puzzle this Thursday,
June 9 at 6:30 p.m. via Zoom.

What makes a terrestrial plant invasive and what are the impacts of those
plants on Maine's ecology and economy?

Gary Fish, Maine's state horticulturist, will provide information on the
current terrestrial plants on the do-not-sell list and the latest effort to
expand that list from 33 plants to 63. Appropriate alternative plants will
be discussed and many plant choice resources will be provided, especially
those which help gardeners add native plants to their landscapes.
