Hello all- I'm excited to share a new resource from the ALA Public Policy & Advocacy Office (my previous haunt). When I left ALA one of the things I was sorry to leave behind was the Libraries Build Business project- mostly because of the 13 amazing libraries that made up the Libraries Build Business cohort. The staff at these libraries and the projects they implemented are the kind that leave you proud to work with libraries. I'm glad to say I didn't leave it all behind because, as you may know, Topsham Public is one of the participating libraries. You can check out the hot off the press Libraries Build Business Playbook (and find Susan on pages 26, 33, and 60) https://www.ala.org/advocacy/sites/ala.org.advocacy/files/content/Workforce/LBB_Playbook_web_013122.pdf. Here's the ALA press release announcing the book https://ala.org/news/press-releases/2022/02/ala-releases-new-libraries-build-business-playbook-encourage-small-business<https://gcc02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Ft.co%2FQLC5UNPGjc&data=04%7C01%7CMarijke.A.Visser%40maine.gov%7C66e82f40dad64966429808d9e5bcf751%7C413fa8ab207d4b629bcdea1a8f2f864e%7C0%7C0%7C637793423553408057%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000&sdata=iPFnf6pMaQGxKUo9P%2FjnmHwOnr%2BG%2BmQtOhFiSYjsy8o%3D&reserved=0> Enjoy, Marijke Marijke Visser (she/her) Section Supervisor, Library Development Maine State Library
