We had Geologist Mark Brockmann at the Carrabassett Valley Public
Library to discuss the various stone tools used by the Native Americans
of the Northeast. Amazing replicas of these tools were be on display and
Mark ws so enthusiastic sharing stories and answering questions at the
end of the program.
Mark E. Brockmann earned a Masters Degree in Geology from Miami
Univesity, Oxford, OH and has travelled throughout the Northeastern US,
working as an environmental, geotechnical and educational geologist. He
travelled to Maine in the early 1990s.
I recommend him for a talk at your library, he is also very reasonably
priced.
