Title: Attainable Approaches to Web Archiving for Maine Contemporary
Archives

Description: Web archivist Anna Perricci will join Maine Contemporary
Archives for an open discussion of attainable approaches to web archiving
and what they could entail for Maine archivists with limited resources. Web
archiving is an intensive process that relies on tools that aren't easy for
most of us to access. Using our knowledge of web archiving and digital
preservation, we'll discuss strategies that may or may not fit the
definition of web archiving, but still help us in our mission to preserve
materials related to current events in Maine.

This is an advanced topic! MCA strongly recommends watching Anna's
30-minute video, Introduction to Web Archiving. A link will be provided in
the confirmation email sent upon registration.

To facilitate open conversation and inquiry, this event will not be
recorded.

Date and Time: May 5, 2022, 3:00 PM
