In preparation for a community conversation about how our library can
better serve local LGBTQ+ youth, SPL hosted an OUT Maine training session,
Building Inclusive Libraries, led by August Sender. (All training sessions
are currently being conducted online.) It was attended by library board and
staff and local community and religious leaders, and the reviews all around
were stellar. I recommend it without hesitation to any library that wants
to create more welcoming and affirming library spaces and services.
