Congratulations to you, Jake. Well-deserved. Bates is lucky to get you, and I'm sure LPL is sad to lose you.

Subject: [MELIBS-L] last day
Even though I've thoroughly enjoyed working here at the Lewiston Public Library, my last day will be January 17th.
As I was going through all of my archived emails, I came across so many names that I've seen often on MELIBS, and conversations I've enjoyed with many of you, and yet have actually met so few. It feels weird to miss people who I've only ever written with, but nonetheless - I will miss many of the thoughtful inspiring conversations that I've had with many individuals via this list. And I've course I'll miss the pleas for bags. :)
I'd like to put in a plug for the LPL here as well - the spirit of teamwork is absolutely fantastic. If you ever get a chance to work here, you should jump at it. Rick is a fantastic guy to work for (he's not paying me to write this) and I continually hear from new hires "Wow, I love the people here. It's a great atmosphere to work in."
I've been hired at Bates College as a Web Developer/Designer. I don't know what my email address over there will be yet, but I can be reached at [log in to unmask] See you around!
