Checking this page should make it easier to keep track. Note that Dr. Shah remarked that with Maine's small county populations, it does not take many new positives to move a county from Moderate to Substantial and thus changing the guidance. This was demonstrated this week with the rapid change for York and Piscataquis and the switch to Waldo overnight. The C.D.C. said Americans should resume wearing masks in areas where there are more than 50 new infections per 100,000 residents over the previous seven days, or more than 8 percent of tests are positive for infection over that period. Please work with your governing bodies to determine how your library will manage this federal guidance given that it may change frequently.
