I would probably also put 2 or 3 HE teams in the top 10.  Like Mike
said BU is looking very impressive and the only true contender at this point.
(Hey Cornell played them a fairly even game--maybe we are contenders;-)!!!!!)
 
The thing to consider is that the top 10 is almost one quarter of all Div. 1
teams.  Also 2 or 3 from HE is about right given 4 conferences--and a good
conference.  For the ECAC I would go for only 1 or 2 in the top 10.
 
But still the top 10 in hockey is more like the top 100 in B-Ball--what I
like to try to figure out is who is in the top 4 or 5.
 
My guess at the top 5 at this point:  Michigan, BU, Harvard, Northern Mich,
Lake Superior.  After the top 4 or 5 I thingk there is really quite a drop
off--but then a good team on a hot streak at the end of the season can always'
make a run if they play good defense and get strong goal tending.
