Roger Spurgeon refers to Matt Shegos as a good ref.  Is this the same
Shegos that refereed the NC$$ championship game between NMU and Boston a
couple of years ago?  If it is, the lasting memory I have is the Brad
Warenka goal he disallowed.  After much falldahrah, he said he lost
sight of the puck and had whistled the play dead before the puck and
Warenka went into the goal.  Even the ESPN announcers were somewhat
taken back by the speed of the whistle.
 
I can't criticize Mr. Shegos' capabilities as a ref, but  I don't
think I will forget that one call.
