Montgomery won't be breaking the NC$$ record...that is held by Phil
Latreille of Middlebury who amassed 250-96--346 from 1957-61. That's not a
mistake; Latreille had 80-28--108 in 21 games in his senior year.

He could break the assist record...he has 160, and as far as I know Wayne
Gagne's (of Western Michigan) 199 (1983-87) is still the record.

The Hockey East record likely won't be broken, that is held by Jon Morris of
Lowell with 177 points in 121 career HE games. (74-103--177) That was
set during seasons when HE played 34, 34, 32, and 26 league games.
Montgomery has 37-82--119 in 72 games thus far. Morris's works out to 1.46
pts per game, while Montgomery's numbers give him 1.65, so he does have the
edge as far as average goes. Yet, among the top 20 all-time HE scorers,
four still have higher averages than Montgomery - David Emma (1.77), Dave
Capuano (1.85), Scott Harlow (1.92, the highest), and Jean-Yves Roy (1.68).
Note that the HE stats include points scored in league games only.

Believe it or not, despite the shorter schedule, Kariya is on target to
smash the HE league record for assists in a season...with 21 in 9 games,
he'd end up w/56 at this pace, and the record is Janney's 51 in 1986-87 (set
in a 32-game season).
