RICHTER IS THE WCHA'S STAR OF WEEK---
 
University of Wisconsin defenseman Barry Richter, who helped the Badgers to a
victory and a tie in their weekend series against Minnesota, has been named
WCHA Player of the Week.
 
Richter assisted on the game-tying goal in the third period of Friday night's
4-4 tie at Mariucci Arena. He also scored the game-winning goal Saturday night
as the Badgers defeated the Gophers 3-2 at Met Center. Richter leads WCHA
defensemen with five goals and 10 assists.
