Trying to get a gauge on when people will arrive in April for Destination DC
2009. As many already know, the Phrozen Phour games will take place on
Thursday afternoon and evening downtown at the Verizon Center and the Final
Saturday night at 7:30 p.m.

Because it's Easter week (when most kids get school vacation), wondering if
many of you traveling with family will entertain coming earlier to DC to
take advantage of the museums,

We're thinking of purchasing a block of tickets for the Sunday afternoon
final home game between the Capitals and the Thrashers Sunday April 3rd at
3:00 p.m. hopefully encouraging you to come for the week, not just on
Wednesday. Would this be of interest to you in Hockey-L?

We also want to open up the banquet (projected at the awesome brand new
facility called the Newseum with the most unbelievable view of the DC
skyline for all who want to attend, not just the teams on Wednesday.

Additionally, we're asking the Washington Nationals to try to open their
season that week so you get to see a game in our new downtown stadium.

If you've got kids who play hockey, we're going to hold open a certain
number of slots for the skills clinic on Saturday morning taught by the
All-Star selections at the Kettler complex, so keep it in mind.

Mary Beth will coordinate the Saturday open skate as well as our Saturday
Hockey-L dinner event.

With the cost of gas these days, we ask you to consider Amtrak or fly into
any of our three airports (BWI sometimes actually is the cheapest and has an
Amtrak station to take you into DC).

More updates to come.
