NESN showed that game (cut in the middle after a Red Sox exhibition, but also
replayed it in its entirety later) and BU-Clarkson live last year. Some
people may remember that in 1990, Wis-BC and BU-Colgate were bought by
channel 25 in Boston which also carried the national championship game live
while ESPN chose to tape-delay the game a week later (an inexcusable crime).

When I called NESN to ask about the regionals being on tv, they told me that
although they wouldn't have the regionals, NESN *would* carry both semifinals.
NESN's decision not to carry the regionals was made far in advance of the
blackout policy taking effect.
