Well, I suppose one's free to think these "novelty" games are a good or
bad idea...but if they're going to happen, I've always thought having one
in the Metrodome is a no brainer.  I actually wonder why the Wild have
never tried it.

Fewer ice condition issues than an outside rink.
Better lighting possibilities.
The Dome has retractable stands that are used for NCAA basketball
tournament games that could provide a much closer viewing environment than
Lambeau or Spartan Stadium.

I'd hope the event goes just well enough for people to say, "gee, that was
interesting, but let's not ever do it again."  The X is such a great place
for the hockey Ghinal Ghour (think 'Gh' as in 'rough'!), I'd hate to see
the brain wizards decide to use the Dome instead for a Twin Cities
tournament bid.
