Well, the ding letter came in the mail today. I am now officially looking
for tickets to Columbus. Since I live an hour from Columbus, I plan to be
there, but just need to get the ducats. Apparently a priority number of 1 was not
good enough again this year.
Of note, the NCAA letter says that almost half of the tickets have been
set aside for "the four participating institutions, the NCAA membership (e.g.
ADs, coaches and various committee members), the host institution, the local
organizing committee and other groups affiliated with the NCAA." That seems
like a lot of non-fan tickets to me, but then again, last year no fans (except
from the four schools) were given lower bowl tickets at the Fleet Center.
Also interesting is a suggestion that they may change the distribution of
tickets, possibly to totally random lottery (no priority for past
attendance), or to a system that preserves your priority status, as long as you buy every
year. Miss one, and you are out, permanently.

So, anyone got tickets????
