John. You can always give a huge annual donation to the "Big Red" club at
Cornell and cement your tickets in the CU section at the game. Harvard's
simply making a determination that ticket sales matter less than home ice
advantage. Why not buy the package and dump the rest of the tickets on
e-bay or work in conjunction with other Hockey-L's who might want to share
the package with you?

Ted Leonsis, owner of the Washington Caps, routinely won't allow tickets to
sell to any Western Pennsylvania Zip Code when the Caps play the Penguins,
especially in the playoffs.

Most Universities now require a "PSL" like membership to a "booster club"
for the right to purchase season tickets. Some schools require you to buy
season tickets for multiple sports to get the better seats for the sport you
really want.

Bottom line, you will pay for it--just like we pay the non-refundable
processing fee to ticketmaster to see our favorite concert. Build a smarter
mouse trap than the Harvard people and find your way into Bright.

'til then. Carpe Diem.

Make it a Great Day.

Subject: Harvard's "new" ticket policy

I suppose this is an issue for a small subset of the college hockey
community, but I thought this was worth mentioning.

This year, Harvard University has implemented a new ticketing policy.
In order for non-season ticket holders to purchase tickets to the
Cornell @ Harvard game, they have to buy a package costing $44. This
package includes the home games vs. Princeton, UMass, Cornell
(obviously), and RPI.

Apparently, the Harvard AD has gotten tired of Bright becoming Lynah
East every year.

As a Cornell fan, I am more than a bit angered by this price gauging
policy by the Harvard AD. Any comments from neutral observers, as well
as those in alliance with the EVIL H?
