PROVIDENCE, R.I. — The Providence College men’s hockey team is ranked No.
10 in the nation, according to the latest US College Hockey Online Poll and
the USA Today/American Hockey Magazine Coaches Poll released on Monday,
December 18, 2000. The 8-4-3 Friars were idle last week.
Sophomore Devin Rask (Parkside, Saskatchewan) is currently leading
the Friars in scoring with 18 points (eight goals, 10 assists). Sophomore
Nolan Schaefer (Yellow Grass, Saskatchewan) and senior Boyd Ballard
(Weyburn, Saskatchewan) have shared the Friars’ goaltending duties. This
season, the duo have combined for a 2.30 goals against average and a .929
save percentage.
The Friars will return to action Friday, December 29, versus
Ferris State at the ninth-annual Denver Cup at 6:35 p.m.(EST.)
