Well over 100 players, parents, and friends attended.  Two of the three
former coaches were there to present awards named after them.
 
Blue Line club offensive player of the year Justin Kieffer
Blue line club defensive player of the year Aaron Ratfield
 
13 team members (of 26) on the dean's list.  Team GPA over 3.0, this in
majors like operations research, biology, civil engineering
 
Jim Bowman Scholar Athlete award (jim is the academic counsellor for
athletics and has been the hockey PA announcer for 30 years) to Eric
Oberg who is going on to medical school.
 
Most improved player (voted by teammates) to senior Mike DesRoche who
flourished this year.
 
John Matchefts Award (freshman of the year) was presented by former coach
Matchefts to Scott Bradley
 
Most Inspirational Player (voted by teammates) to Mike McGuire
 
Defensive player of the year (best plus-minus) to Chad Schenk
 
The newly named (in honor of the former coach) Chuck Delich Most Valuable
Player Award was presentd by Delich to Justin Kieffer
 
the Vic Heyliger award (voted by teammates) named after the founder and
first coach of the falcon hockey team is awarded for dedication,
character, leadership, and work ethic was presented to Justin Kieffer by
the athletic director.
