The Gophers seemed to be on their way to winning a hard-fought game when
Bulldog Derek Plante changed the scenario by scoring twice in the final
three minutes of regulation.  Duluth threatened early in the overtime,
but Minnesota won on a screened point shot from junior defenseman Doug
Zmolek.  It was a chippy game, with more penalties than I am willing to
count.  The referee was WCHA head official Ron Foyt.
