Does anyone have a copy of the 'official' ECAC tiebreaker rules?
Especially in regards to multi-team tiebreakers.
It seems that some people have been treating the multiteam tiebreakers
as 'choose best' situations where one team is removed and the others start
over from scratch. Is this really how it works? In a recent post regarding
the 5 way tie it looked like the teams that were in "2nd and 3rd" in the 5
way tie ended up lower after the "winning" team (I believe Princeton in this
case) was removed.
Is it possible that instead the top team gets 3rd, The next two teams
that are tied (Vermont & Union) get compared, with RPI and Colgate bringing up
the last two spots? Do we know for sure which way it works, or is this some
kind of 'educated guessing?' Surely this must actually be written down
someplace.

                Thanks for the help.
