According to this morning's Lansing State Journal, Michigan State has added
three more recruits to the incoming freshman class, giving the Spartans a total
of seven freshman coming in in October for the Green and White.

In addition to forwards Mike Ford (6-0, 193, Vernon, BC, signed in fall), Mike
York (5-11, 175, Waterford, MI, signed in April), Bryan Adams (6-0, 175, Fort
St. James, BC, signed in April) and defenseman Chris Bogas (6-1, 190, Cleveland
Heights, OH, signed in fall), the Spartans are adding forward Kevin Allen (6-1,
190, Trenton, MI), defenseman Jeff Kozakowski (6-2, 195, Garden City, MI), and
goaltender Mike Brusseau (5-8, 170, Detroit, MI).

Brusseau played last year for the Cleveland Junior Barons of the North American
Junior Hockey League, where he had a 3.65 GAA and a .911 save percentage in 34
games. He also hopes to play baseball at MSU.

Kozakowski played for two different Iowa-based teams (Waterloo and Dubuque) lastyear in the US Hockey League. In 55 games, he scored 12 goals and added 35
assists.

Allen played for Compuware of the NAJHL last year and scored 17 goals and added
31 assists in 44 games.

The seven replace departing seniors Mike Buzak, Chris Sullivan, Rem Murray,
Steve Guolla, Steve Suk, Matt Albers, and Dean Sylvester.
