Well, the Badgers couldn't quite pull it off tonight.... but they
played well and played hard, and had a great season.

I had a lot of fun this weekend... but it would have been better with a
slightly different result in tonight's game :-)

Paula kept score, and Doug Woog owes me two beers for my cheering for
the Gophers vs. RPI. She said I was even-handed enough during the
CC-Minnesota game to not lose either one.

As for the booing at the end of the Minnesota-CC game, well, I was a
little bit surprised (but I must say, it wasn't everyone -- ask Erik
and Paula how many Badger fans congratulated them and wished the
Gophers luck). The crowd was clearly cheering more for CC, but not
really antagonistic to Minnesota during the game. Maybe it was when the
band started to play before the game ended, plus that circle-banding
thing always bugs us... (but enought of that).

Erik and Paula did cheer for the Badgers, as they said they would...
but they refused to "sieve" or sing the bud song. I, of course, did not
sing the rouser.

We saw some really exciting hockey in Madison, and I understand the
games out East were pretty good too.

Congratulations to the winners, and to all the teams! Here's hoping
for three good games in Providence!
