As of this afternoon, I have a total of 52 people (including their guests)
who have expressed interest in the Hockey-L dinner in Providence.   Here is
the information I have available at this time:
 
--  The dinner will be at The Players Corner Pub located about a block away
from the Civic Center.
 
-- They will be expecting us following the first semi-final game on Thursday,
March 30.
 
--  We have access to the downstairs function room.  Unless I can give them a
firm committment of 70 people, we will have to share that room with others
(either the general public or with another group.)
 
--  There will be a cash bar in the function room.
 
--  Menu and pricing is still being negotiated.  Much depends on how many
people we can guarantee them.  The Pub will definitely have a buffet table
setup (not in the function room) with steak sandwiches, burgers, sausage and
pepper sandwiches, italian grinders (subs for non-Rhode Islanders), and vegi
pockets.  There will also be an area set aside for ordering full appetizers.
 I'm waiting for a call-back on the pricing.
 
--  There will be tables and seats available in the function room.  The room
is designed for mingling and buffet style serving, however.  It will not be
setup as a dining room.
 
  Anyone who plans on attending, please contact me immediately.  The more
people we can guarantee them, the better our price and menu selection.  If
you responded earlier and find that you cannot attend, please contact me so I
can update my list.
 
  I will be posting more information this weekend regarding where to meet,
directions to the pub, etc.  If that's too late for your travel plans, you
can find me at the Civic Center in Section 122 Row GG Seat 1.
