        I think firing Jerry Welch (I know, he resigned) in the middle of the
season stinks. The guy has put 20 years into a program with no administrative
support. A couple years ago, when Miami wanted to move the dates of its
playoff with the Buckeyes, the athletic department wasn't even aware the
Buckeyes were in the playoffs.
        Ohio State is college hockey's sleeping giant. When they complete the
new 20,000-22,000 basketball/hockey arena in a few years, that could be the
No. 1 program in the country.
        So what about Shawn Walsh?
