        In this fast-paced, hard-hitting game which featuerd excellent
goaltending, Vermont overcame a 3-0 deficit to tie the Bulldogs
3-3.

        It was a strange game. Yale was outshot 27-12 through two
periods but held a 3-1 lead. Tim Thomas was played well, even though
he was down 3-1, and then completely shut the door for the 34 minutes.
Todd Sullivan made many stellar through the third and ot to foil
Vermont's bid for the win. Andy Weidenbach scored Yale's third goal by
deeking his way through the entire Vermont defense. Dale Patterson of
Vermont took a hard pass of the boards from the Yale zone and
converted it into a breakaway for the tying short-handed goal.
