  In response to Gary Finniss' request, here is information I have collected
and tried to keep up to date for several years.  Bill Fenwick has been
especially helpful with ECAC pairings, CCHA material is readily available
to me and the WCHA an HE stuff is gleaned from the mailings.
  I would appreciate any corrections or additions.

WCHA    #3 tiebreaker is ambiguous; assume head-to-head.
HE      "More than two" tiebreaker is incomplete and inconclusive

CONFERENCE TOURNAMENTS
CCHA Tournament   No Consolation Game
   1995 UAFvs#10 in 1 game for new #10; then 1vs10, 2vs9, etc. best 2 of 3;
     reseed; 4vs5 in 1 game for new #4; then 1vs4, 2vs3 in 1 game; then final.
   1996 Omit #9-#11; then 1vs8, 2vs7, etc. best 2 of 3; reseed;
        then 1vs4, 2vs3 in 1 game, then final.
  Tiebreakers:
      1 Head-head games
      2 Head-head goals
      3 Head-head vs #1, then vs #2, etc.
      4 Coin Flip
   Based on current standings
     (UAF can be rejected as a 1st found opponent by seeds #1-#
      1 Mich---10 OSU        3 MSU---8 LSSU      5 UIC--- 6 WMU
      2 BGSU--- 9 NtrDm      4 Miami-7 FSU         UAF---10 OSU
 
WCHA Tournament: 1vs10, 2vs9, etc. best 2 of 3; reseed[?]!

  Tiebreakers:
      1 Head-to-head records
      2 Wins in the league
      3 Total goals differential.
  Based on current standings:

      2 Denver- 9 Ak-An      4 Minn-7 St.Cloud
 
HE   Tournament: Omit #9; 1vs8, 2vs7, etc. single game; reseed; then 1-4, 2-3
   Tiebreakers - Two teams:
      1 League head-to-head won-loss record
      2 Best won-loss record vs. other Hockey East teams.
      3 Best record vs. other HE teams in descending order in standings.
      4 Coin flip
   Tiebreakers - More than two teams:
        The three-game record among the teams will determine the
        higher rank, applying the provisions under two teams.
   Based on current standings:
      1 Maine---8 BosColl      3 NoEstrn-6 Merrmk
      2 NewHamp-7 Prov         4 BosUniv-5 MaLowl
