Gary Olson's story:
Warroad, MN native and former North Dakota Fighting Sioux and Olympian Dave
Christian (now 35) will sign with the IHL Minnesota Moose.
 
Also, the Area Update, in addition to a long item about the US Hockey Hall of
Fame inductees (See Carol's post), has this item:
U hockey captains named:  Scott Bell, who sat out all of last season following
back surgery, and Justin McHugh have been chosen as co-captains for the Gophers'
hockey team.  Dan Trebil will be the alternate captain.

No surprise, but this announcement couldn't be made until after Craig Johnson
(an alternate captain along with Bell as a junior in '92-'93 and an Olympian in
'94) turned pro.
