This is an indirect college hockey question. A couple years ago when Eric
Lindros refused to sign with Quebec, the Nordiques were force to trade
his rights after a year because they would lose them at the next draft.
Why does Anahaim still retain Paul Karyia's rights after all the next
season after they were drafted they both won silver medals in the
Olympics? Does it have something with the Karyia played half a season of
college hockey?
