First, the saves on for last night were all screwed up. They should
have read

Heller (D) 8 19 6=33 (42 shots)
Choquette (Y) 11 12 8=31 (36 shots)

Also, on the last Dartmouth goal, give the assist to Dodman, not Bloom. On
to today...

The very very long Yale season came to an end this afternoon with
a 4-1 loss to Vermont. There's not much to say. As happened so often this
year (5-20-1) we were simply beaten by a better team.

Two things of note: At the 2:51 mark of the third, Vermont goalie
Tim Thomas appeared to pull a groin on a save. He looked to be okay, but
Jon Miyamoto came in to mop up.

During the second period, on Vermont's first delay of game
(disloding the net) the refs had set up for a penalty shot until someone
realized that we were not in the last two minutes of the period. They then
called the power play. Then, 1:21 later, Vermont knocked the net off again,
and were assessed another two minute minor.

One last thing: I've been thinking more about the teams eligible
for the Division I tourney that could, concievably, end the season with a
win. So far, I've come up Yale (even though they didn't), Dartmouth, Air
Force (even though they didn't), Army (are they eligible?), Maine (if HE's
decision holds), and the national champion. Have I missed anyone?
