MARQUETTE, Mich. -- Northern Michigan got two goals and three assists
from senior center Mark Beaufait and a goal and three assists from
senior forward Dallas Drake en route to a 7-3 win over North Dakota
Friday night.
Senior Tony Szabo added two goals for NMU, while senior Scott Beattie
and junior Joe Frederick also scored for the Wildcats (14-5-2 overall
and 11-4-2 in the WCHA/1st). Beattie picked up his 200th career
point in the game.
Jeff McLean scored twice and Marty Schriner once for the Sioux (12-9
overall and 8-9 in the WCHA), who were outshot in the game by a 47-18
margin.
Northern Michigan converted on 4-of-10 power-play opportunities,
while UND scored on 1-of-8.
The two teams play again tonight.
