With Northern Michigan's disasterous season still in a tailspin, it has given
the fans here time to discuss other hockey tidbits, one of which is this:
NMU currently plays hockey in an off-campus, city-owned facility, which allows
for beer/wine/mixed drinks to be served in 2 large bars within Lakeview Arena.
Are there very many other D1 hockey arenas/teams that serve liquor during
the games? It is not served (or allowed) in the seating/stands, and the
there is no "seating" in the bar area; just standing (to mildly discourage
lengthy stays perhaps!?).
Just curious to see out of 40+ D1 programs, if this is unique or not.
