Subject: Nevers article from Daily
It seems to me that playing park or rec hockey is not the abuse this rule was
designed to prevent. It should be appealed or legally challenged by UM and
Nevers if he wants to play 4 yrs of varsity hockey AND earn a college degree.
The NC$$ must be flexible enough to accomodate individual circumstances which
would clearly benefit the scholar-athlete and the institution while harming no
one. Just a thought based on nearly 30 yrs of watching NC$$ idiocy in action
(year after year after year - just like an infamous battery operated rabbit).
