I think it depends on the location - since many ECAC West schools are
close to the St. Cats/Toronto area, many of the payers are Canadian.
For example, RIT last year had 14 Canadians on their 29-man roster, and
Canisius had a whopping 16 out of 24. Most come from the Golden
Horseshoe junior B league - the "horseshoe" being the western end of
Lake Ontario.
The NCHA also has their fair share of players from central and western Canada.
